Mick is a handsome American Spotted Draft gelding standing 16.1 hands tall and estimated to be 16–17 years old. Originally an Amish work horse, Mick has transitioned into a well-rounded riding horse known for his steady nature, kind heart, and dependable temperament.
With his striking presence and gentle personality, Mick quickly wins over everyone he meets. He is a true "lover boy" who enjoys attention, grooming sessions, and bath time, often soaking up every bit of affection offered to him. His calm demeanor and thoughtful nature make him a wonderful partner for building confidence, connection, and trust.
As the founding horse of Brave Ground, Mick holds a special place in our hearts and in the story of our organization. His generous donation by his owner, Isabelle, helped transform a dream into reality and gave us the opportunity to begin building the program we envisioned. We are deeply grateful for Isabelle's trust, belief in our mission, and willingness to share such an incredible horse with our community. Because of her generosity, Mick's impact will extend far beyond the arena, helping countless individuals find healing, hope, and connection for years to come.
